Pastor Clark

Pastor Bill Clark

Greetings to all the members and visitors of Timothy Lutheran Church! I'm honored to be the pastor here.

I am a second career pastor. I was ordained at my home church, Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Urbandale, Iowa, in 2016. I graduated from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis in 2017 in the Specific Ministry Program. I also completed my General Pastor Certificate in December 2022.

My wife Lesli and I have been married 27 years. We were married at Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Bellevue, Nebraska. Our daughters are Manda, Sydney, and Kelsey. James became our son-in-law in October 2019 when he married Manda. We are grandparents! We also have a 14 year-old poodle/schnauzer mix dog named Cooper, who is the most spoiled of all the kids.

You will find me cheering for the Iowa State Cyclones, Chicago Cubs, and Minnesota Vikings, along with many other teams that have some of our favorite players. I have been a referee for high school football and basketball for 20+ years.

I love to travel and see new places. My wife and I were able to go to Israel in 2019 and 2023 and see the Holy Land. I also love music. Music speaks to us in ways that words just cannot by themselves.

I have a passion for mission work. I took my first mission trip in 2005 and have gone on one every year since then – to Honduras, El Salvador, Belize, and the Dominican Republic. I’ve built relationships on these trips that feel like I am going back home to see family each year. It's not just the physical work we do, but also the relationships that are built with the people there and the fellow people on the mission team.

When you receive an email from me, I always sign off with “Make each day a mission trip,” and that is what I try to do each day. The mission field is not just a trip to a foreign country. We enter the mission field each and every day of our lives.

I am just an email, text, or phone call away if you need anything or just want to visit. I look forward to meeting you and worshiping with you.

God’s blessings to you!

Pastor Bill Clark
